Welcome to VolcanoesRock.com!
My name is Katrin Kleemann, I’m an early modern and environmental historian. I’m a doctoral candidate at the Rachel Carson Center at the LMU Munich in Germany. This website is a blog inspired by interesting things I find in my doctoral research, which focuses on the 1783-1784 Laki fissure eruption in Iceland and its impacts on the northern hemisphere. So you can expects findings on environmental history, geology, and—of course—volcanoes.
This website is still a work in progress. In the meantime, please visit my personal website: www.katrinkleemann.com.
